Testimonials - Jinyoung (Vanessa) Lee

July 17, 2006 - Jinyoung (Vanessa) Lee

This past weekend I was given the great opportunity to hear Coach Lee speak at his seminar in Chicago. About two weeks ago, I had no idea that there would be a seminar. If I had known, I would have been the first in line. However, after a few e-mails and phone calls between Coach Lee and myself, in a few days, I was on my way to Chicago. The exhausting half-day drive was definitely worth it when from the moment I met Mr. Lee I felt such a warm presence. It was easy to approach him with that kind, genuine smile he had.

I went to Chicago hoping to gain a lot out of the seminar. But I left with much more than what was learned that day. I was able to spend time with and speak to Coach Lee the night before and after the seminar. And it was then that I really felt the love of God through Coach Lee. I admire the fact that his reasons for coming to the United States were not materialistic at all. In reality, he was called by God to serve as much more than just the National Coach.

Some people say things happen for a reason. And it is actually God who makes and plans things all for His purpose. If it hadn't been for a few simple, seemingly unrelated events, I never would have met Coach Lee and I would still be the same person I was a week ago. It is now apparent to me that it is only possible that God, alone could have planned those events. I have never felt so renewed and refreshed spiritually as I am now. Coach Lee motivated me and encouraged me so much throughout the weekend in Chicago and I feel inspired to do something more with the time God has graciously given me.

It is so easy to see God's grace shining through Coach Lee. I know that he hopes to reach out to as many people as possible and share the love of Christ. And I am certain many more people will be touched by God's love through Mr. Kisik Lee.
